Who Needs Electricity?

This activity has been postponed. Please watch for new date and time.
We are going to make emergency cooking stoves out of cans. I've seen Donna do this. It's incredibly easy and effective! Those interested please bring a clean #10 can and empty clean tuna fish cans and a box of paraffin wax which can be found at the commissary or Walmart.

See you there!

Time for Canning!

If you are planning on taking advantage of Donna H.'s offer to do some canning this week, your money needs to get to her today. Print the order form and fill in what you would like. Remember to add in the cans and oxygen absorbers. We'll be canning at Donna's house on Wednesday and Thursday at noon.

Thank you Donna for making this so convenient for us!!

Well, That Makes it Easy

Donna H. has reserved the canner and pouch sealer from the cannery and she has so graciously invited anyone who wants to build their food storage to come to her house Oct 13 or 14 to use it. Prices are down right now for many items at the cannery so now is the time to do this! If you have never done this before, it is a fun and simple process. Besides the Church cannery has the BEST hot cocoa! (I'm running low so count me in Donna.)

If you have any questions, please contact Donna H.

Who Can Can? You Can!

Do you know how to can? If you answered no, here is your chance to learn. It's a great money saver and honestly, home-canned peaches are a thousand times better than canned peaches from the store.

Sis. Harley will be teaching our class this Tuesday at 10 AM at the church. Even if you know this important skill you can't miss this class! Seriously, this woman could have her own show!

See you there and feel free to bring a friend!
